Specials Board in the RestaurantWalking through the bar area with the large beer barrels to sit-at, plus the roaring log fire, one could imagine you are in a different zone, particularly when the pianist strikes up a beautiful melody – like Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable, “As time goes by” from the theme of Casablanca, you would be forgiven in thinking you were on holiday, looking at the glamorous white piano alongside glamorous surroundings. Our resident pianist plays anything from Sinatra, show music or even modern and exciting compositions and accepts and welcomes all requests.

Moving on to the first of our themed restaurants, this one is in a sparkling green with an abundance of candles and glassware all enhanced by mood lighting and makes for a magical experience, particularly adding to this is the romantic fire.

Should you wish to sit in our stag themed room on our lovely oval 8 seater table, drinking in the magic of the Pegsdon Hills with the roaming sheep around you, what a perfect place to capture a real piece of our beautiful countryside.

Finally, you may wish to bring friends for a private party in our Nook area, themed in Aqua-marine, again with magnificent views over this wonderful English Heritage site. It is perfect for parties with its versatility, charm and of course great atmosphere.

As you can imagine our themed restaurants have been a great hit with local walkers and ramblers - whether stopping off for coffee before their walk, or afterwards, for a spot of lunch. We have also been able to cater for many birthday parties, whether an 18th, 21st or even an 80th, as our pianists versatility and range in all types of music, which can be enjoyed by all.
